M.G. was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina and he is the younger brother of LGJC.  He grew up listening to many types of music but was most influenced by R&B. He learned at an early age that he had a tremendous ability to sing and desired to use his voice in the same way as his favorite artists.  He began to develop his talent by joining his high school choir but was more interested in singing for worldly purposes than anything else.

One day God spoke to M.G. through a series of dreams, which made him realize he needed to become serious about his relationship with Christ.  He also felt like God was calling him to use his singing to spread the Gospel.  As he was beginning to focus more on his walk with Jesus, LGJC had begun recording with O-Line and he accompanied his brother to a few of recoding sessions.  It was at those recording sessions and other O-Line engagements that he witnessed firsthand, young men and women rapping and singing for the Kingdom of God.  He was also able to build relationships with the artists and staff associated with the label that encouraged him in his growing faith.

M.G.’s first recording with the label was a chorus on the song “Calling” that was selected and included on the "Grow With Us" project.  T.M. later invited him to sing the chorus on another song, which was later, added to the project.  He traveled all over the state of North Carolina ministering with O-Line. During that time he continued to grow stronger as a Christian by digging deeper into the Bible. O-Line noticed the spiritual and artistic growth in M.G. and offered him a spot on their roster.  M.G. is currently the only vocalist in the O-Line Records family.
